From my first putting fingers to the keys until I wrote those magical last two words, ‘The End,’ indicating that I had reached the end of my story-writing road, I was thrilled and relieved and considered my book completed. But no, the writing of the book was the easy part! Getting my book through the final stages in readiness for printing was a whole new experience for me, and one I found rather stressful.
Frankie Kartun was one of three editors who were recommended to me. She was my immediate choice. She wrote these words, which gave me immediate relief, “Do not stress, put your mind at rest, I’ll be there for you.”
Frankie has an ability to pick up the smallest errors that go unnoticed. Her corrections during editing were clear and concise, with an explanation given of exactly which word or phrase had been edited and why. The simple addition of a word or two from Frankie would make the whole sentence read smoother without changing the context.
